Hello!
It is cold outside today! I had been thinking that it's been a mild autumn and would be (hopefully) a mild winter but it seems like a proper winter is coming soon....!

I made other miniatures last weekend and I haven't uploaded here yet, so here it is.

Hello there! How are you doing?
I haven't uploded my blog for a long time.... since April!!
Oh my... I am feeling bad :(
I'm wondering that no one is interested in my blog any more. A wwww....

Well, I should explain what has happened to me.

In April, I decided to start a year long course to become a Japanese teacher and I started it in May. The course had textbooks, exams and some essays so those things made me much busier as I have tried to finish it much more quickly.

Of course, I was still planning to make miniatures as my hobby in my free time even so.

However...
In June, I also found out that I am pregnant! What a lovely surprise xxx
Although because of this I suddenly couldn't stand to look at any photos of real food to make miniature models or even think about food!! Even looking at very tiny spots for painting or making shapes by clay was too difficult.

That's why I stopped making miniatures and jewelleries for a while and I concentrated on studying the Japanese course.

Luckily, I am now 27 weeks pregnant and everything is going well. Phew!
My morning sickness has gone and I have finished my Japanese teacher course as well.

So, now I have come back to make miniatures again and also this blog! Yay!

I made some new stuff and took photos yesterday. I will update those later on this blog.

Please come back and have a look them.

Udon 　うどん

Hi! I hope you had a happy Easter holiday, everybody!

I was given lots of chocolate eggs from family, yum ;)

I've made a few more Japanese food miniatures Japanese food.

This food name is "udon".
Udon are thick white noodles, often used in a basic soup with many different toppings.

I made three different type of udon this time.
The front one is with egg.
Left back is with "kitsune" which is fried thin bean curd.
Right back is with "tenkasu" (crunchy bits of deep fried flour-dough).

All of these toppings are very common in Japan.
The pink and white bits are "kamaboko", they are made from fish paste.

Nabe 鍋

Hello. I made a new miniature a few days ago.
It is a type of Japanese food called "Nabe" (pronounced like "Na-bay") and this food is normally for winter. Haha. I know it is the wrong season now but I am keen to make Japanese food these days.
I made other types of food, for example Udon (thick noodles) and I will post the picture next time.

To make Nabe you put vegetables, fish or meat and soup in the big cooking pan and people share it.

Pacific coast of Tohoku Earthquake (東北地方太平洋沖地震)

This terrible disaster happened in my country, Japan on 11th March 2011.

I am very shocked and saddened by what has happened. I still can't believe it is real.

The earthquake was massive and made an almost 10m high Tsunami. The Tsunami destroyed an entire city...

A traveler's room - 5

Hi there!
As I said yesterday, my latest miniature project has finished finally!

I will put on the photos here today. I hope you will enjoy looking at them x

Hm, the light was maybe too bright and strong!?

Looks a bit orangey-red.

The actual colour is little bit more natural like the bottom photos!

Look closer at the book shelf.

I put some mail, an ornament and clock etc...

You can open the draw and put something important in it, like a love-letter x

On the desk.

There is a passport, a boarding pass, a map, a camera and guide books.

Looks all prepared for travel, doesn't it?

This parcel is my favorite item in the project.

There are lots of photos and world maps as it is a traveler's room :)

Of course, you can find a calender on the wall to make a holiday plan!

This photo is about whole room image and quite close to actual colour too.

New project! - A traveler's room

Hello! I haven't written for a long time but I am back!

I also have started a new miniature project recently.
Well, I am making a small room with two book shelves and one desk.

The room's shape is like this.
(Not completed yet.)

This room's concept is "A Traveler's Room".

I am imagining that a person who likes traveling lives in this room.

That's why I am planning to put some maps, photos, books and camera in the space.

At the moment, I am making books for there.

I realized that I need quite a bit of books for it because this room has two book shelves :( oh my!

Well, I am keep making more and more...!

Still not enough :( oh dear....!!

I also made small maps :)

I will make other miniatures for this room from now, for example... camera, coffee cup, photos etc...I am so excited when I imagine about this project!

I hope I can show this very soon!

Cupcake

Hello! It is very cold today. We haven't had any snow today but it's already very icy outside now.
I really don't want to have snow before Sunday because I will go for Christmas meal on Saturday night so I am worrying that we might not be able to arrive there if we had heavy snow!
(I am very looking forward the Christmas meal! haha)

By the way, I made a new miniature today. It is not 1/12 scale though.
This is a cup cake! Someone who works my next door asked me to make mini cup cake key holder for Christmas present for her friend.

I had no confidence to make nice cupcake because I tried it before as 1/12 and it was completely rubbish!
That's why I was very nervous to accept the offer.

And...

I've finally complete the mission! This is my cupcake! yaaaay.

I hope she will like it... though...

For Christmas Gift??

Hello. Long time no see. How have you been?
I don't know how I spent all my time so far... time flies so much!

I and my husband had a holiday back to Japan and we met all my family and close friends there.
We attended my cousin's wedding which was amazing and unforgettable.

Well, and I came back to normal life now so I have started to make new miniature again!

The happy christmas season is coming soon. I made some christmas jewelleries this time.

This is a christmas wreath necklace.

I made a pair of these and two colour varieties.

I also made matching items! Earrings ;)

A suggestion for christmas gift?

I am planning to make more miniatures for christmas but I realized december is just only 2 days away...!!

I have to work hard... quick! Quick...!

More sushi, again. 再び、寿司三昧。

Hello. I really can't believe that it's already August! Time flies!!!
I am very surprised that I hadn't written a new post on this blog since the beginning of July...

こんにちは。もう8月なんて信じられないです。時間が経つのはあっという間・・・！！
7月初旬からブログを更新していなかったことに気づいて、びっくりしてます。
（何をしていたのだろう・・・？記憶が･･･（笑））

Well, while I was off from here, I made several new miniatures and these are sushi again (^^;)

I will put some new photos here today!

ここに書き込んでいなかった間にも、いくつか新しいミニチュアを作ったりしました。
寿司関連もさらに増えました。

1) Sushi earring, wood plate version.　（木の皿に乗ってるバージョンです）

I made black & red colour plate to put sushi last time but I made wooden plate this time.
And maki-sushi is also on it too.

前回は黒＆赤の皿に乗っているのを作りましたが、今回は木で。
追加で作った巻き寿司も乗ってます。

These earrings are on sale at "Oriental accessories" in Southampton. (It's near West Quay & Bargate)

このイヤリングたちは、サウサンプトン市内のオリエンタルアクセサリーというお店でも買えます♪

Making soup bowls are quite hard and I failed to make the shapes many, many times!

I am not good at making dinner plates or bowls etc...

味噌汁碗を作るのが、難しかったですー。

お皿とかお茶碗とか、いつも苦戦するんですよね・・・。

(っていうか、なぜお寿司に味噌汁？っていうツッコミは無しで･･･！）

preparations

Hello! Long time no see, everyone ;)
I had been busy in June for public and private, both side and I hardly could find time to make miniature.
(I started to make some but I had to stop in the middle process and nothing finish at all.... awww :(

こんにちは。お久しぶりです。
6月は公私共に何かと忙しく、ほとんどミニチュアを作る時間がありませんでした。
（いくつか作り始めたものの、途中で止まってしまったり・・・）

Although I am getting back to as normal life style and I am making new miniatures now.
Actually, I already made some sushi earrings which I mentioned before and I am now setting up Esty shop.
(I will put my Esty shop's link URL when I finished setting up that (^-^) it will be soon!)

でも、やっと普通の生活リズムに戻りつつあります。新しいミニチュア製作にも入ってますよ～
以前の記事で、寿司イヤリングを作るかも・・・と書いていましたが、今はそれを作っています。
Estyショップ（オンラインハンドメイドショップ）のセットアップにも着手しました。
（ショップURLは次回に書きますね！）

And I have a good news about my sushi earring.
My very kind friend offered that she can put and sell my sushi earrings at her shop in Southampton!
I am so excited about it!!!
However, I need to make them more because I just have a few pairs at the moment before that.
We are thinking to make other type of miniature jewelleries and also some miniature ornaments.
I am so happy and I am motivated to make new miniatures!

そして！その寿司イヤリングについていいニュースが舞い込んできました！
とーっても親切な友人が、彼女のお店でその寿司イヤリングを置かせてあげるとオファーをくれました！！（サウサンプトンにあります）
本当にとっても楽しみです！･･･売れるといいナー。

しかし、その前に、今はまだ数個しかイヤリングを作っていないので、もっと沢山作る必要があります。私達の計画では、もっと色んな種類のミニチュアアクセサリーを置いて、普通のミニチュア（イヤリングとかじゃなくて）も置こうと話が出ています。
俄然やる気が沸いてきましたよー！！

I made new miniatures yesterday and I tried to make a scene this time.

The scene is about making sandwiches with ham & lettuce.

Everything made from polymar clay.
(I didn't make plates, sorry! I made cutting board from balsa.)

I will make some brown bread sandwich for health as well next time. :P

I've been fine, enjoying my bank holiday weekend + bank holiday monday.

私はバンクホリデーの週末を楽しく過ごしています。

I finished making a new miniature furniture! yay.
This is a cupboard for my doll's house. :)

新しいミニチュア家具が出来上がりました！
今回は食器棚を作ってみましたよ。

I put some foods which I made before.

以前作った食べ物を置いてみました。

Draws and doors are able to open.

引き出しと扉も開きます。

Well, the problem is, I still don't have a doll's house...even though I have been making miniature furinitures and foods.
I suppose I should start making a doll's house or room for all my furniture.
Although I am still struggling to find the right wood for making it.

しかし、問題が･･･。ミニチュアの家具と食べ物を作り続けている私ですが、ドールハウスを実は持っていません！
きっと、そろそろ重い腰を上げて、ドールハウスそのもの（もしくは部屋）を作り始めるべき・・・ですよね。
とはいえ、材料の木材探しが難航しているんです。

I found that "balsa wood" is easy to use and lots of craft shops sell it, but I am not satisfied with the look of the surface of the furniture.
(it is easy to chip or make surface rough...)
I really want to use other wood but I don't know what kind wood stripe I should use for the solution.
I wonder what other artisan use????

バルサという材料は加工しやすいし多くのクラフトショップで手に入るんですが、表面の出来上がりがイマイチ気に入りません。
（毛羽立ったり、欠けたりしやすいです）
本当に別の木材を使いたい！！のですが、どれを使っていいのか、どこで手に入るのか・・・。
皆さんはいったい何を使ったドールハウスや家具を作っているのでしょう？
（日本ではヒノキ材が一般的のようですが、イギリスでヒノキ材・・・売ってなさそう。涙）

Hello! How was your weekend?
I and my husband went to Exbury Garden in Hampshire on sunday with his mum and brother for celebrating her birthday!
こんにちは。週末をいかがお過ごしでしたか？
私と夫は、日曜日に、義母の誕生日祝いを兼ねて、エクスブリーガーデンというところへ義母と義兄と一緒に行ってきました。

The weather was gorgeous! We enjoyed walking and looking beautiful flowers in the garden :)
天気が本当に素晴らしくて、花を見ながらの庭園探索はとても楽しかったです！

では本題のミニチュアに！
土曜日にミニチュアハンバーガーを作りました。
私の指が、モンスターの指みたいに見える・・・（＞＜）

（余談ですが、英語ではハンバーガーもハンバーグも、どっちもハンバーガーって言うらしいです。ホントかしら？）

As my first plan, I wanted to make sliced tomato and show the surface a little bit but I couldn't... I tried and it looked terrible!
(That's why the tomato is hiding under the roll. hehe ^^;)

最初の計画では、スライストマトを覗かせた感じにしたかったんですが、できませんでした。

トマトの出来上がりが酷くて･･･酷くて・・・。

（というわけで、パンの下に隠れております･苦笑）

I can't help being impressed that people made tomato cane and strawburry cane!

How do they make?　Is there any good book or website to learn about it?

Please give me tip or hint x

トマトや苺の輪切りが上手に作れる方を本当に本当に尊敬します。

Salmon Blinis サーモンのブリニ

Hello. This week had been better weather... until yesterday.

Yes, it is cloudy again today. Hmm.. I miss sunshine already.

My friend who live in Japan made my cloudy day much happier!

She sent a gift to me yesterday, it is a miniature how-to book!! Yaay!!

I'm sure that I will enjoy making miniature more with this book. I don't mind weather when I am making miniatures :) hehe.

こんにちは。今週は比較的良い天気の週でした･･･昨日までは・・・。
今日はまた曇り、あぁ、すでに日光が恋しいです。
でも日本に住む友達の一人が、そんな曇りな気分の日をハッピーにしてくれました！
プレゼントを贈ってくれたのです♪しかも、ミニチュアの作り方の本！イエーイ☆

ミニチュアを作っている最中は天気は気にならないしね♪

By the way, I made a new item a few days ago but I did't have time to take photos.
I took photo of this finally so I am writing about it on this blog.

ところで、数日前に新しいミニチュアを作りました。（写真を撮る時間が無くてアップが遅れました･汗）
やっと時間がとれたので、記事を書いています（＾0＾）

So...What is it?

Well... it is Salmon Blinis. Small thin cracker with cream and salmon.
The cracker (for real Blini) made from buckwheat flour.

I saw this on Marks & Specers food order book and it looked yum :) and I wanted to make this for miniature.

で・・・これは何？？かというと、サーモンのブリニです。
薄めのクラッカーにクリームとサーモンが盛り付けてある、おつまみみたいな食べ物。
ブリニのクラッカーはそば粉でできているそうです。

で、そのサーモンが乗ったブリニの写真をMarks & Spencersというお店の食べ物お取り寄せカタログで見つけて、美味しそうだなーと思ったので、作ることにしました。

Hello! How are you?
I am happy that it is finally nice weather today here because I was really fed up with the cold, cloudy and not spring like weather last week.
Well, I have finally made new my miniatures! This time it's small sushi set.

こんにちは。お元気ですか？

先週は、冬のようにまた寒くて曇りばかりでうんざりしていたのですが、今日はやっと良い天気になりました。とっても嬉しいです！
さて、ついに新しいミニチュア作品ができました。寿司セットです。

I'm also thinking to make some earrings and a necklace at somepoint and I might put them on an online shop.
これを使って、イヤリングやネックレスにしてみようかと構想中です。オンラインショップに出品するかもしれません。

I will also make tamago(egg), gunkan, maki etc...soon!!

There are some things I have to change before I make sushi jewellery but they will almost look like these.
(Oh, of course, I will put earring and necklace metal part with them)

I had quite a busy week until yesterday but I will have more spare time this coming week. I suppose I can update this blog and put some new miniatures soon.

たまご（のお寿司）とか軍艦巻き、巻き寿司etc...のバージョンも、作る予定です。
まだ改良すべき点がいくつかありそうですが、見た目はほぼこんな感じ（に、アクセサリーの金具が付く）の予定です。

先週は結構忙しかったのですが、来週はもう少し自由に時間が使えそうなので、新しいミニチュアと一緒に、またすぐに記事をアップデートできると思います。

Simple Sofa シンプルなソファー

Hello. How was your weekend?
I had a nice & relaxed Bank holiday weekend (in the UK).
I and my hasband meet up friends and we played Super Mario Brothers (Wii) and we had Indian take away :) Yum!

こんにちは。週末はいかがお過ごしだったでしょうか。
私はのんびりと良いバンクホリデーを過ごしました。（イギリスの公休）
私と夫は友達に会って、みんなでWiiでマリオをしたり、インド料理のお持ち帰りを食べたりしました。
Also I made a new miniature furniture. It's sofa.
I wanted to make simple design one so I used plain off-white cloth for it.

それと、新しいミニチュア家具も作りましたよ。ソファーです！
シンプルなデザインにしたかったので、オフホワイトで無地の布を使いました。

Hi. How are you?
I have been busy last couple of weeks. And I will have another busy week next week.
こんにちは。お元気ですか？
私の近況は、ここ2週間ほど忙しく、来週もまだ同じ状況が続きそうな感じです。

I missed to make miniatures so I made fish & chips.
Does it look ok?
When I made fish with butter as first time earlier this week, the fish looked terrible.
So, I tried to make it again and that is this picture's one.
でも、やっぱりミニチュア作りが恋しくなったので、今回はフィッシュアンドチップスを作ってみました。（イギリスの定番です）
どうでしょうか？それっぽく見えますかねぇ・・・（＾＾；）？
週の初めに第一弾を作ったら、全然フライした白身魚には見えず、ひどい出来！
そういうわけで再度トライしてみました。それがこれです。

a chair　椅子

Hello. I made a new miniature today. It's a chair!
It was first time to make a furniture for miniature.
I chose a tutorial which looked simple and no need any special equipment.
こんにちは。今日は新しいミニチュア作品を作りました。椅子です！！
ミニチュアの家具を作るのは、初めてだったので、簡単そうで、特別な機具が必要なさそうなものを選んで挑戦しました。

I couldn't find any material wood but balsa in hobby shop. Or, I don't know what wood I should use for miniature furniture. It was easy to cut balsa. It was very light material. Although, it doesn't look good like other wood...?

I have heard that some wood is quite difficult to cut with craft saw. (I don't have any electrical saw.)

Hmmm... I have lots of question.

材料を調達したお店では、バルサくらいしか見つからず、そもそもイギリスでどんな木材がミニチュアの材料として手に入るのかも分からず・・・といった、右も左も分からない状態での出発でした。
（東急ハンズとかには、いろいろ売ってあるみたいですね。日本が･･･恋しい・・・。）
バルサは軽くて加工が簡単ですが、見た目が、他の木材に比べてイマイチかな？
とはいえ、電気ノコなんて持っていないので、ちゃんとした木材が手に入っても、切れるのかも心配で、さらに疑問の山に埋もれる私です・・・。

Anyway... I need to go to bed now. I will work in Winchester tomorrow. It's exciting!

Salad サラダ

Hello! How are you? I haven't written weblog for a while.
My husband and I celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary last weekend. My husband took me a Dolls' house fare at Lyndhurst. It was an amazing event! I had a great time there to see amazing miniatures and I had an opportunity to talk to some miniaturists :) (Thanks, hubby xxx)

こんにちは。お元気ですか？しばらく更新ができていませんでした。（ごめんなさい）
先週末、2年目の結婚記念日を迎えることができました。そして夫がドールハウスフェアに連れて行ってくれました。（リンドハーストという場所でありました）
素晴らしい作品の数々を堪能し、またミニチュア製作者ともお話をする機会もあり、とても素晴らしい時間を過ごすことができました。

Well, there was no time to make a new miniature last week although I made a new one today finally!
It's lettuce, egg, ham and cucumber salad.
先週はミニチュアを作る時間がなかったのですが、今日はついに新作をつくりましたよ！
レタス･ゆでたまご・ハム・キュウリのサラダです。
（ダイエットに良さそうですね～笑）

Topping the salad with boiled eggs, ham and cucumber on lettuce was very similar to real cooking. It was fun :)

（卵やハム、キュウリをトッピングする工程は本物の料理と同じ感覚で楽しかったです。）

Does it look alright???

（ちゃんとそれぞれの具に見えるかな？）

Macarons マカロン

Hello, how are you?

The lovely easter holiday has nearly finished. I will go back to work tomorrow.

Before that, I made small macarons this evening!!

My best friend mentioned them on Twitter and it gave me the idea.

楽しかったイースターホリデーも、もうすぐ終わりです。

明日からはまた仕事の日々かぁ～。

その前に！今夜はマカロンを作ってみました。そうです、ミニチュアの王道・マカロン（笑）です。

親友がTwitterで、マカロンのことを言っていたので、作ってみようかなと思いつきました。

It wasn't that hard to make the shapes but it was much harder to get them the right size.

I enjoyed mixing the pastel colours in clay which reminds me of spring.

マカロン自体の形を作るのはそんなに難しくは無いものの、同じ形をいくつも作るのがなかなか大変でしたよ。

それにしても、パステルカラーを使うと春らしくていいですね。

I had macaron just only once in my life. I'd like to have it again!
I don't know if I can buy macaron in the UK? (It's French sweets, isn't it?)

過去に一度だけ本物のマカロンを食べたことがあるのみです。また食べたいな～

イギリスでも売ってあるのかな？フランスのお菓子でしたよね？？

cheese and biscuit チーズ＆ビスケット

Hello! Happy Easter!
I and my husband are having very nice relaxed holiday.
We bought biscuits and cheeses at Tesco this weekend for tea and it gave me an idea what I wanted to make next.
I like Jacob's cream crackers with cheese. (And Ritz craker)

こんにちは！今週末のイギリスはイースターです。
私と夫は、とーってものんびり過ごしております。
（でももうすぐ、ゲストのための夕食を用意し始めなくては！）

週末用の買い物で、Tescoというスーパーにて、チーズとビスケットを購入したのですが、
その時に、今回の作品のテーマが決まりました☆
Jacob'sという有名なメーカーのクラッカーがあるのですが、チーズと食べるととっても美味しいです。あとは日本にもありますが、リッツのクラッカーも好き♪

I usually take photos on my desk with desk light after I made miniatures though, I changed this time.
That's why the lamp makes miniature too shiny or looks grossy even I don't want to do so...
I don't mind it happens when I take photos of cakes or something grossy.
But grossy biscuits are... not realistic at all, aren't they?
Therefore I used natual sun light this time. Well, I just went to window side and took photos. that's all. haha.
(We had a good weather today.)

いつもは、ミニチュアが出来上がったあとに、机の上にあるデスクランプの光で写真を撮るんですが（なぜなら、いつも出来上がりが夜なので･･･苦笑）、
今回写真を撮ってみたら、ビスケットがとーってもツヤツヤで・・・。ビスケットに見えない！
ということで、急遽、窓辺での撮影を試してみることにしました。
直射日光が入らないくらいの、外が明るい天気がちょうど良かったです♪

chocolate chip cookies チョコチップクッキー

Hello. How are you?
I made chocolate chip cookies, double chocolate chip cookies and another type of cookie last night.

Making the chocolate chip cookie's shape was fun, especially when I made the surfaces uneven.
The middle one, we call "Ichimatsu pattern (市松模様) cookies" in Japan.
Making them was much harder than the chocolate chip cookies because I am not good at shaping into squares.
What can I call this type of cookie in English?

Well, I was quite happy when my work was done anyway :)

It looks like a face... Looks... evil... lol.

こんにちは。

昨日の夜、チョコチップクッキーともう一種類のクッキーを作ってみました。

(普通チョコチップのと、ダブルチョコのです）

チョコチップクッキーの形で、表面のデコボコを表現するのが楽しかったです。

市松模様クッキーは、形を作るのが結構むずかしく、小さい四角の棒になるように切って組み合わせるのですが、なかなかうまくいきませんでした。

そういえば、市松模様クッキーって、英語でなんて言うんでしょうね？

とはいえ、出来上がりには結構満足です。

一番下の写真、なんだか人の顔に見えますね。（しかも悪そう・・・笑）

Chocolate cake チョコレートケーキ

I have had a cold for almost a week. I feel much better than last weekend although my nose and throat are not yet back to normal. I had lots of cough sweets to prevent having a big cough while working and talking to customers. (I am a staff at a shop.)

When I threw the cough sweets' case away into the bin, one funny idea popped into my mind.
I thought I could use the plastic case part to make a miniature cake shape.

This evening I used it and I liked it!

After I made this shape, I decided to make a chocolate cake.

I love chocolate cake xxx (I'd love to eat a chocolate cake... of course real one ;)

先週からずっと風邪をひいています。
もうだいぶ良くなったのですが、まだ喉（咳）と鼻が・・・。
そんな感じだったので、先週は接客の合間に咳止めの飴（のど飴）をずっとなめてました。
接客業なので、咳が止まらなくなったりするとつらいのです～。

で、大量に咳止めの飴の殻（プラスチックのやつ）がたまって、捨てようかなとしてたとき、
ふと閃きました！
この大きさ、この形！！ミニチュアのケーキが作れそう☆

粘土つめて、乾燥するのを待って、ちゃんとできましたよ～。
しかも、指紋もつきにくくてよい感じです♪

調子に乗って、そのままチョコレートケーキまで仕上げてみました。
チョコレートもの、食べるの大好きです。
（もちろん、本物を・・・です。笑）

まだ、あと一つケーキの形の粘土が残っているので、
また違うデザインのケーキも作る予定です（＾＾）

Rice balls (Onigiri)　おにぎり

Today I made rice balls (we call "onigiri") and pickled Japanese radish (takuan).

First, I made small grain shapes for the rice. It was hard to make them the same size.

Next, I shaped the rice balls and put some pink coloured clay inside as tarako (filling).

Of course, I didn't forget to wrap the rice balls with seaweed (nori).

I saw that some Japanese food shops are selling rice balls in London.

I haven't seen any in my town although I know there are some shops selling sushi instead.

Aww.. I miss eating Onigiri! (rice balls) I want it now!!!

今回はおにぎりを作ってみました。（あと、たくあんも。）

まずは、ご飯粒の製作から。なかなかお米が一定の大きさにならずに苦戦！

つぎに、おにぎりの形を作って、中身に「たらこ」をイメージした色の粘土をつめてみました。

忘れずに、海苔を巻いて終わり。

ロンドンだとおにぎりって日本食のお店に売ってあったりしますね。

私の住んでるところではまだ見かけたことありませんが、お寿司を売ってるのは結構見かけます。

あー・・・おにぎりが食べたくなってきたー。

strawberry cake 苺ケーキ

Hi. I made a strawberry cake this time.
It was my first time making strawberries and cream and it was quite difficult.
I know some of the strawberries are leaning on the cake.. haha.

こんにちは。今回は苺ケーキを作ってみました。
苺もクリームも、今回初めて作ったので、形を作るのが結構難しかったです。
苺の向きが傾いてますよね・・・ハハハ。

Before I started to make this cake, I decided to make this as a small accessory for a mobile phone. (We call it "a strap" in Japan.)

今回はストラップとして作りました。

"Straps" are very popular in my country and you can buy lots of different designs everywhere, but I haven't seen them in the UK. I don't know why. I think it is fun to use them and they can give identity for each similar mobile phones.
ストラップって、日本ではどこでも買えるしみんな使ってますよね。
でも、イギリスで売ってあるのを見たことが無いんです。
ストラップって楽しいし、携帯に個性が出るからいいと思うんですけどねー。

I wonder if someone might buy then if I start selling them in the UK or europe?
イギリスやヨーロッパを中心にストラップを発売したら、誰か買ってくれるかなぁ？

Doughnut ドーナツ

Hi. I made some doughnuts yesterday.
At first I couldn't find anything good to make the holes at the centre of the doughnuts.
I tried using a few different pens but they didn't work properly, however I managed to do it in the end.
After that, I read on a website that using a straw to make the hole is easier. Hm, I will try it some point.
Anyway... these are my miniature doughnuts.

こんにちは。昨日、ドーナツを作ってみました。
穴を開ける道具で良いサイズが見つからず、穴を開けるのも意外に難しく、押し出された粘土が変な形になったりして、てこずってしまいました。
いやー、ドーナツ・・・あなどれませんね！！
他のウェブサイトでストローを使うと良いと書いてあったので、使ってみようかな。
ともかく、ドーナツ完成です！

ebi (shrimp) sushi

I finished making "Sushi with ebi (shrimp) this morning which I had been trying to do since last night.
Making such a tiny shrimp shape was quite hard and my hand couldn't hold it properly.
It made me say "oops!" many times. It took time but it's done anyway!!
At the same time, I enjoyed doing it :D
I'm now thinking of making other types of sushi soon.

昨日の夜から作っていたエビの寿司が完成しました。
いやー、形を作るのが難しかったです。特にサイズが小さすぎるので、指が何度もエビと舎利を押しつぶしてしまったのですが、何とか完成しました。
それにしても、形がイビツ～・・・。
改善の余地ありまくりです！
とはいえ、結構楽しい作業でした。
次は何の寿司ネタをつくろうかな～♪

new hobby

Hello. I recently started making miniature foods with clay for my new hobby as I've been interested in trying this for a while. I made fried eggs and baguettes first of all. Making those shape as realistic as possible was quite difficult, as was painting the colours on them. I think it will take a long time to make perfect miniature foods but I want to enjoy making them and I wish to put my works in a craft market or online shop some day. That's my aim.

こんにちは。最近、ずっとやってみたかった「樹脂粘土で作るミニチュアフード」を作り始めました。最初に目玉焼きとバゲットを、インターネットの作り方サイトを見つつ作ってみましたが、本物っぽく形を作るったり色を塗ったりするのが、意外に難しくて悪戦苦闘しつつも何とか完成しました！
納得のいくものが思いどおり作れるようになるまでは、修行の日々になりそうですが、楽しみつつ作っていけたらなと思っています。目標はクラフトマーケットやオンラインで販売することですが・・・
どうなることやら！？
